RYAN BORG

PGA of Canada Teaching Professional

Ryan started BORG GOLF to help others enjoy the game that has encompassed most of his life. Having an extensive playing background and a burning passion for the game, he is able to assist people of all ages and skill levels to get the most out of their golf experience.

Ryan started playing golf at the age of three after being introduced by his father and went on to travel North America playing the highest level of junior golf. Having gone to an academy in Florida that was headed by Sean Foley, former swing coach of Tiger Woods, Ryan knows firsthand the benefit of learning from one of the world’s leading instructors and is able to translate the information learned to his clients in a straightforward manner.

After his junior golf years, Ryan went on to play in a highly-ranked Division 1 Golf program at The University of South Florida. During his time at school, he was able to play against some of the current top-ranked golfers in the game today such as Jon Rahm and Bryson Dechambeau. Competing at this level granted him the ability to train with other top-ranked players and coaches, gaining invaluable first-hand experience that has molded him into the coach that he is today.

After college, Ryan played on the professional golf circuit amassing multiple wins, the most recent being on the Toronto Players Tour in 2021. Having spent the full season playing on PGA Tour Canada in 2021, he gained valuable insight into what it takes to train and play at the highest level. His fascination with the swing and technique aspect of the game led him to work with coaches such as Sean Foley, Scott Cowx, and Jeff Pierce. Being able to learn from the brightest minds has tailored his approach to teaching the game himself.
